KEON!! We are truly sorry! There are some others beginning a civil lawsuit case against us for the musical infection we put into their heads and it's worth seeing how much you can collect in that civil suit. We had no ideas what magic we were playing with. Just a couple of dumb guys in their 20's. Haha. Thank you for saying so, Keon. That's so awesome to have made something that has lasted thus far and keeps bringing the smiles & head nods. This tune started on acoustic guitar and I had just started trying to bring to life guitar compositions to life in Frooty Loops. So this was one of them and it was only a matter of time before Bangs and I were coming up with how to rap over it. Honestly, his first verse was always about computers and mine wasn't, and it was Dave Hnatuik at our MTV jobs, who heard the demo who was like, "Dax, you should just also rap about computers." Because I was rapping about how it always seems to be some friends's last night in town and you're always being asked to go across town to be at their "goodbye party". We called the song "Computers and Friends". But then I adjusted that awful approach to a song verse, we took away the word "and" in the title, and then I asked my middle school buddy, Rob, to sing the chorus and a verse and he came over and we all figured out the chorus together. The story to the video is a whole other long story which will eventually be told in podcast form on my show "Dax Directs" :) Until then, I recently released new tracks called "The Dissonance is Loud" & "Wild Forces" if you want to hear what at least one of us is up to now.
